20th Century Ghosts Joe Hill

The short story, "20th Century Ghost", has all the elements I like in a short story: good characterization, an interesting setting and a great story, at once full of a quiet suspense and thoughtfulness. The stories in this collection are nearly perfect. In other words, the entire* Joe Hill Library Collection. To continue this week's short story theme, I've decided to add 20th Century Ghosts to my 31 days of horror book recommendations. Triple success: I love typewriters, thinking about book cover design, and I really enjoyed Hill's book. There's an old typewriter on the front cover of my copy of Joe Hill's 20th Century Ghosts. His previous outings, including Horns, Heart Shaped Box, and the short story collection 20th Century Ghosts, have rightly secured him in the company of today's strongest horror writers. I've read quite a bit by Joe Hill, and I have to say that 20th Century Ghosts is his best work. I'm thrilled to offer blog readers four books by Joe Hill: NOS4A2, Horns, Heart-Shaped Box, and 20th Century Ghosts. Creepy Late 19th-Early 20th Century Ghost Pictures - "Spiritualism" and spiritualist photography was extremely popular back in the day.
